So they announced the official nominees for the Oscars this morning. We had known that “Golden Compass” had been on the short list of 7 films that were up for the bake-off, or narrowing down procedure, but we were up against some pretty large competition.

The news is circulating around the studio, and we are all really happy. Even money is going on Transformers for the win, but with the voting habits of the past few years who knows what will happen.
